Here's the complete solution. Follow these 9 steps in order — each one is a concrete action you take on screen.

1. Tap Lucien to have him approve the sword already placed in the open gift box, which serves as the first proper birthday present.
2. Drag the initial brown book from the inventory into the open gift box. The white-haired woman will reject it as an improper gift, indicating a need for a different book.
3. Tap the rejected brown book in the gift box to remove it. A 'swordsmanship book' will then appear in the inventory, replacing the previous one. Drag this swordsmanship book into the gift box to provide Lucien with a proper, approved gift.
4. Tap the word 'PRINCESS' on the 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS LUCIEN' banner to correct the spelling to 'PRINCE,' as indicated by the white-haired woman's angry reaction to the misspelling, completing the third present.
5. Drag the red coat from the inventory into the open gift box. It will transform into a miniature red-coated figure, which is accepted as the fourth proper present.
6. Tap the grey rocks that appear in the gift box to remove them. A male character will appear and help clear the box, allowing for the next proper present to be placed.
7. Drag the scissors from the inventory onto the teddy bear that a green-dressed woman places in the gift box to intentionally damage it. The white-haired woman will then automatically intervene and repair the teddy bear, making it a beautifully presented and proper gift.
8. Drag the red tomato from the inventory onto the pink coat that a light blue-dressed woman places in the gift box to stain it, changing its color. The white-haired woman will approve of the new color, making it the seventh proper present.
9. Drag the brown boots from the inventory into the open gift box to complete the final present for Lucien. The white-haired woman will confirm it's a necessary gift, completing the level objective.
